Clashes were expected at an event on Sunday celebrating the 70th anniversary of the formation of Israel, but protesters kept their word and remained peaceful.
Around 80 people gathered at Silo Park in Auckland celebrating the day, and around 15 Auckland Peace Action protesters turned up carrying a Palestine banner.
The protestors were held back by a line of police to prevent any conflict.
It was interesting to see this unfold.
The Peace Action protesters stopped about 80 meters away from the “Celebration” of 70 years of Racism, Terrorism, Land Theft and Ethnic Cleansing.
What unfolded next was that a number of Pro Israel people approached the Protesters.
One walked through the Police Lines and pushed a Hand Held Palestinian Flag in the faces of a number of Protesters.
The Direct Provocation came from the Israeli Supporters!
PS. What was it about having an Israeli Soldier in Military Uniform prancing around on New Zealand Land? All that was missing was his SNIPER Rifle and a few Children for him to line up in his Cross Hairs.
PPS. I spoke with an Israeli Supporting boy. He didn’t seem to know about Israel’s Hannibal Protocol about Israel Killing any Israeli Soldier caught by Hamas so they don’t have a Bargaining chip. He was surprised to hear about the Protocol.

You will see Israeli Supporters, it is unlikely that Palestinian Supporters would wrap them selves in Racist zionist flags, being allowed to encroach much closer to the Palestinian Supporters than the Protesters being allowed to encroach on the Israeli Group. 1. You will note that we have not censored your posts to date, so why you should think we would start now indicates your paranoia. 2. You will also note that the Wikipedia Article on the Hannibal Directive is rightly cautious in its treatment of the Directive, and despite your efforts to re-classify it as fact, wiser heads have prevailed.
The number of hits on Google on any subject is not in itself sufficient evidence of veracity. If that was the case then the idea that the earth is flat would also be true as the phrase “the earth is flat” results in 330 million hits and that “witchcraft is true” is credible because it results in 18 million hits; even “moon landing conspiracy” garners 3.5 million hits.
3. Palestinian Flag: Another baseless accusation: We never said that Israeli citizens wouldn’t own a Palestinian flag. We merely said in our experience a pro-Israeli supporter is unlikely to own one. On one point you are right, racism is at the heart of the issue of the issue. How are Arabs doing on their efforts or lack of efforts to build diverse tolerant societies with equal rights and democratic freedoms for their societies? If Arabs considered Israelis to be Palestinians too, as many do, then being given a Palestinian flag could only be seen as a supportive act.
4. Two peoples: Interesting to see that Gaza and the West Bank are bereft of Jewish inhabitants, while 20% of Israel’s population are of Arab descent. Indeed, Arabs are treated differently in Israel: Arabs are not subject to compulsory military duty; Arabs are entitled to affirmative action with respect to opportunities in civil service employment. In Israel, there are Arab supreme court judges, military generals, university students, doctors, dentists and policemen and policewomen. Can the Arabs of Gaza, Judea and Samaria point to similar examples of Jews serving within their societies at every level? Let them show the world what kind of society they want to build when it comes to race. The evidence is available for all to see.
5. Geneva Convention: Good to see the State of Palestine are signatories to the Geneva Convention. Since 2014 they have been subject to International Law on IDF abductees and responsible for their treatment as POWs as well as the treatment of civilians in time of war. Now members of Hamas and the PA can be tried by an international tribunal for war crimes. International Law should rightly show no partiality. It will be interesting to see if the GC will be applied to the combatants in the current Syrian War. There are many Palestinians living in Syria, will you advocate for the indictment of the Russian and Syrian regimes, because there is a strong prima facie case that that those regimes have breached the provisions of the GC? Or are you just partial to Israelis and Jews? Since you are such an advocate of International Law then you should also be critical of the Palestinian Authority and Hamas’ breaches of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

By all means apply the International Criminal Court and the War Crimes tribunals to Syria, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Let ALL those who can be indicted for crimes to be held accountable. I suspect that the majority of the Israeli Government and it’s Military would be put in front of the court and convicted, much as the Nazi’s were at the Nurnburg tribunals. That is the reason Israeli Politicians are desperate to stop that happening.
Indeed, it was Britain that had a closed indictment for an Israeli General. When he heard about it on landing in Britain, he hid out on the El Al plane and then scuttled back to Israel. You accuse others of myopia yet your myopia filters out Hamas’ calls to tear down the fence; a fence that Hamas knows is a security fence between two societies that have a history of deadly violence against each other. What did Hamas expect?

This “protest” could be cynically seen as a Hamas fundraising drive, designed to evoke sympathy and create a harvest of ever more donations from a naive and gullible world.
Some say the “protest” is a reaction against the harsh living conditions brought on by the blockade of Gaza.
You omit to say that the blockade of Gaza is due to the Gazan people’s decision to elect Hamas, an organisation that has publicly declared war on Israel and has threatened Egyptian authorities.
You also omit to say that Hamas assassinated its political rivals on the way to victory.
You omit to say that even the Palestinian Authority has supported the blockade of Gaza.
You accuse others of propaganda yet you cannot see your own diatribe as promulgating Hamas’ Hasbara.
Whether you, or anyone else, including ourselves, like it or not, a population exchange is underway and has been progressing for over 70 years. Some voluntary, most not. The Arabs have expelled the Jews, and attempted to conquer and expunge Israel.
Yet, a population exchange with predominantly Arab majorities on one side of a border and a predominantly Jewish majority on the other seems the only way to a sustainable peace and self-determination.
You talk about ethnic cleansing but omit to say Arab leaders actively encouraged Palestinian Arabs to leave their homes because they expected them to return after a quick victory.
You omit to say when that didn’t eventuate, Arafat and others cynically prevented the peaceful resettlement of the Palestinian Arabs or the building of successful societies within Gaza or the West Bank, they did so for their own profit. Arafat died a multi-millionaire. Abbas is a multi-millionaire. Ismail Hasniyeh is too.
You talk about ethnic cleansing but omit to mention the some 800,000 Jews expelled by Arabs from North Africa and the Middle East. To the Palestinian Arabs and their supporters, only Palestinian Arabs can experience a Nakba. They are the only victims in this tragedy.
To acknowledge anyone else’s suffering only undermines their narrative.
You attach an equivalence to Nazi war crimes to the Middle East conflict. And therefore imply that the Palestinian Nakba is equivalent to the Shoah. Goebbels would be proud of you.
You fail to mention that the Jews are also an indigenous people of the region. You fail to mention that even when the Turk or the Arab ruled the region, they never assigned equal rights to their minorities.
Jewish self-determination and Jewish indigenous rights are inconceivable to the Palestinian Arabs and their supporters.
Coexistence is not the goal of the Palestinian Arab. Only dhimmitude. Coexistence with the rest of the world is not the eschatological goal of the Palestinian Arab. Only global dhimmitude and ultimately, genocide.
