New Zealand has conveyed its condemnation of Israel’s actions along the Gaza border directly to its ambassador here, describing the loss of life as “devastating and one-sided”.

Tens of thousands of Palestinians had been protesting along the Gaza border against the opening of the United States embassy in Jerusalem.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on behalf of the government, raised concerns directly to the ambassador in New Zealand.
The violence showed that the decision by the US to open the new embassy was counter to efforts to find a peaceful resolution in the region, she said.

This is a complete Misrepresentation.
The protests are about the over 750,000 Palestinians Ethnically Cleansed from their Homes and Lands in 1948 and the fact that the Refugees from the land that is now within Israel have not been allowed to return to their homes. As is normal for Refugees at the end of the Wars/Battles.
Just look at the people in Syria who were driven from their homes are returning once the bombs have been removed.
Something Israel refuses to do based on a Racial Profile.
To omit this as the major reason for the protests for the last 7 weeks is Disingenuous.
But then you’re being disingenuous because you don’t recognize the security threat that these people pose to the current population.
These people voted for a regime that wants to destroy the State of Israel.
These people are the people who celebrated in the streets immediately after 9/11.
These people are the people who supported the call to carry out knife attacks on Israeli citizens.
Unlike other refugees, these people have been prevented from resettlement in other lands and get on with their lives.
Do all refugees return to their original homes in the aftermath of a war?
Of course not. The nature of the relations between the combatant groups and the conditions they would find in their original lands would dictate to what extent this is possible. So they are resettled elsewhere.
But no group of refugees is allowed to return if they have the express goal of destroying the State which now rules the land.
No discussion about refugees in the Middle East is complete if the 850,000 Jewish refugees aren’t mentioned.
