Maori Jews | Radio NZ

There’s been a Jewish History in New Zealand since the very beginning of the 19th Century – so it should come as no surprise that some of our population identify as Māori Jews. This is a segment population however, that most of us know very little about. Dr. Hadas Ore from the University of Auckland is here to enlighten us though – she’s recently completed a post-doctoral project on Māori-Jews living in NZ.

  1. Kudos to NZFOI for including this on your website.

Given the issues that Dr Ore covers in the last two minutes of the interview, I would never have suspected that you would put this podcast up.

So. Once again. Kudos for your Honesty.

    • Thanks Neil. If we want sustainable outcomes, it’s going to need mutual understanding. Listening to the “other side” is always going to be difficult, no matter which side you’re on. Hag sameach!
