JERUSALEM (AP) — An Israeli settler leader says the number of settlers in the West Bank grew at nearly twice the rate of Israel’s overall population last year.

Yaakov Katz says the settler population reached over 435,000 people last year, up 3.4 percent from the previous year. In comparison, Israel’s overall population grew 1.8 percent.

  1. All of this is illegal under International Law.

    4th Geneva Convention – Article 49 – sixth paragraph: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.”

    The people who are authorising these “Transfers of Israeli Citizens into the Occupied Territories” are by definition, War Criminals.

    And the New Zealand Jewish Community does not speak out about these crimes.

    Probably for the same reason why we never see you criticize the Palestinians or speak out about their crimes. If you don’t think that anything that they get up to are crimes, then why should we be any different than you?
