AN AFTERNOON WITH

THE AMBASSADOR OF ISRAEL, YOSEF LIVNE

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 3

This month NZ Friends of Israel is pleased to invite you to a reception to welcome the new Ambassador of Israel to New Zealand.

With the volatility that stems from the Arab Spring, the prospect of Iran bearing nuclear weapons, the resumption of peace talks with the Palestinians and the economic advance of Israel,  the appointment of a new Ambassador of Israel to New Zealand has come at an eventful time.

The Ambassador will be speaking about these events and their influence on Israeli-New Zealand relations.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the meeting and to informally meet the Ambassador afterward.

ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR

Yosef Livne, 64, has been Ambassador of Israel to El Salvador, Belize, Mexico and the Bahamas, and Deputy Consul-General in New York.  He and his wife, Norma have two sons, Alon (12) and Dan (14).

Middle Grange Primary School Hall. Acacia Ave, Middleton, Christchurch.  3 pm-5 pm

There are several entrances to the School.  The entrance you should use is half way down Acacia Ave, on the left.  The hall may be found at the end of the lane. See map.

The price of admission is a plate of finger food. Please refrain from pork or bacon products.
