Our distinguished women speakers are:

 

Tal Hochman
Director of Policy and Government Relations, Israel Women’s Network

Her role at the Israel Women’s Network is to advocate for women through legislation and policy initiatives at the Knesset and other government offices. She previously worked as a trained social worker with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Tel Aviv University and a Master’s degree in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics. Tal will be speaking about her work in the Israeli and the international arena following October 7 crimes by Hamas Against Women.

 

Idit Codish

Director Of Development & International Partnerships, Michal Sela Forum

Ms. Codish is a Development Professional with extensive experience in the field of Israeli NGOs. With a passion for social justice, specifically women’s rights and the rights of other marginalized populations, Idit has dedicated nearly 20 years to the development field. Born in Israel and raised in the United States, Idit is a published author, and holds a dual BA from McGill University in Theater Studies and Jewish History.

Idit will be speaking about her work at the Michal Sela Forum to save lives and prevent violence against women through innovation and technology and her activity in the international arena to combat domestic violence.

 

Melinda Jones

Founder and President of The Kiverstein Institute

A human rights lawyer, author of 13 books, National President of NCJWA and based in Melbourne, Australia. Melinda describes herself as both an educator and scholar – teaching on a range of human rights issues as well as Jewish topics.

Melinda is the Founder and President of the The Kiverstein Institute, which is devoted to supporting and strengthening the feminist arena in Jerusalem. She will be speaking about the silence of the international community on crimes by Hamas against women and the call to action for Jewish women of the diaspora.
